Before all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays begin, now is a great ime to plan your holidy stay in Lancaster County. Our bed and breakfast is located in the heart of Lancaster County and is just a short drive from come of the county’s best holiday activities. To get you in the spirit and help you plan your stay this coming holiday, we are sharing some of our favorite events and happenings.

The Mayor’s Tree Lighting & Tuba Christmas – Known for his snappy bowties and cheerful demeanor, Lancaster’s Mayor Gray hosts the official kickoff of the holiday season with the Tree Lighting in Penn Square. Carolers, the infamous “Tuba Christmas” and evening hours at Central Market add to the festivities.

Find Your Belsnickle Christmas Tour – This year, we are proud to announce that our bed and breakfast will participate in Authentic Bed & Breakfasts of Lancaster County’s Find Your Belsnickle Christmas Tour. Gifts of Giving – Originally featured on last year’s Holiday Happenings list, Lancaster County has some of the best outlet shopping and boutiques in PA. There are three major shopping destinations all within minutes of the E.J. Bowman House. The shops at Tanger OutletsRockvale Outlets and Downtown Lancaster will help you check off everyone from your list with a wide array of unique finds, designer brands, and of course a little something special just for you.

Landis Valley Village & Museum – The museum collects, preserves and interprets the history of the Pennsylvania German rural community from 1740 to 1940. They invite the community to enjoy an evening of holiday festivities, free of charge, as they celebrate a Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas, Friday, December 11th.

A Christmas Carol – This timeless classic has been reimagined at the Fulton Theater. The Victorian setting is peppered with pop culture references and a holiday sing-a-long that will bring cheer to everyone, young and old.
