Creating a Holiday Favorite

Each holiday season is filled with celebrations, from family gatherings to school plays. We wanted to take a moment to share with you one of our favorite cookie recipes that is sure to please the masses this holiday season.

Drop Sand Tart Cookie Recipe

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs and continue mixing. Whisk flour and baking powder together, add to mixing bowl.  Add vanilla. Mix well

Whisk an egg with a little water in a small bowl and set aside.

Grease or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  Drop batter onto the baking sheet using a small spoon. Dip a finger into the beaten egg and flatten the batter on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture. Top with half of an almond (optional)

Bake cookies at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Cooking Tip:

You can make these cookies as flat as you would like. The flatter, the crispier! Use red and green tinted sugar for an extra dash of holiday cheer.
