LANCASTER HOSTS THE 2015 U.S. WOMEN’S OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP

When the temperatures rise and the days grow longer, the Lancaster Country Club will be hosting the LPGA and the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open Championship. This great honor comes on the heels of the U.S. Men’s Open Championship in Washington, and is the largest women’s golf event in the world. This influx of golf enthusiasts will be treated to the charms of our community and learn that there is much more happening in Lancaster County then just the Amish.

The E.J. Bowman House Bed & Breakfast is an ideal place for visitors of the event to relax after a full day on the green. We are located a short drive from the golf course, allowing guests to avoid city traffic and unwind.

Our historic 1860 Italianate bed and breakfast boasts five elegantly appointed rooms, each with their own private bath, AC/TV/DVD, and plantain shutters for restful nights.

Each morning an exceptional 3 course homemade breakfast using fresh local ingredients from many of the farmers’ markets throughout Lancaster County is prepared and served by the innkeepers. Breakfast includes fresh fruit, an entrée and side of meat, as well as a delicious pastry offering, coffee, tea and a variety of juices.

After breakfast you will feel ready for the day ahead. Once you’ve returned from the course, you can catch a nap in our comfortable den, grab a snack from the kitchen, or read in the gardens by the pond.

To help you further enjoy your stay in Lancaster, we can recommend other activities, attractions and restaurants. Nearby you will find historic Ephrata, fun filled Hershey and Lititz, PA – voted America’s Coolest Small Town. Lititz has a charming Main Street with unique specialty shops, delightful cafes and great restaurants. Downtown Lancaster is only ten minutes south with many restaurants and pubs, galleries, and other small shops.

At the E.J. Bowman House Bed & Breakfast you will enjoy 19th century ambiance, with modern conveniences, and the excitement of the 2015 U.S. Women’s Open Championship.
